In the middle of difficulty lies opportunity.
There are no secrets to success. It is the result of preparation, hard work and most importantly learning from failure.
I have been employed at various reputable organisation based across West Yorkshire and have taught ESOL, English, Basic Skills, Employability Skills, Group and Individual sessions to name a very few, and to students of all age groups within these centres and on a one-to-one basis (private tuition). I have been in this profession since 2004 and have been valued as a high asset by all previous organsiations that I have worked for, where I have contributed to achieve high results.
"If we don't model what we teach, we are teaching something else"
My previous students and those I teach at present have always seen my teaching as first class. I show enthusiasm to teach and make students feel at ease so that the learning takes place at its best. I have been accredited with a Grade 1 (the highest grade) a number of times in my teaching observations by our highly trained internal quality department. In 2005 I started mentoring other teachers sharing good practice and carrying out observations as well as my own primary role in teaching.
"The best teachers teach from the heart, not from the book"
I would like to teach those who truly wish to develop their English language and would provide support at every level through using various strategies that best meet the learning needs and the way they learn best.
I also support students/customers with assignments, essays, CV writing skills, interview techniques and how to complete job application forms that would allow them a stronger chance of getting through to the interview stage. I have provided advice and guidance to managers within HR departments with their recruitment & selection strategies and attended invitations to deliver group sessions covering a large number of topics of interest.
The biggest problem most people face in learning a language is their own fear.
They worry that they won't say things correctly or that they will look stupid so they don't talk at all. DON'T DO THIS.
The fastest way to learn anything is to do it - again and again until you get it right. Like anything, learning English requires practice. Don't let a little fear stop you from getting what you want.
Every child has a unique learning pace and comprehensive skills. You cannot compare one child to another as well as you can not expect one child to learn as fast as another child. How every child performs is unique. Some child learns fast while there are others who need assistance and more reinforcement.
Some would need extra attention for them to be able to bring out the best of their learning abilities. However, this does not mean that only those who are not able to grasp lessons immediately should have a private home tutor.
Even those students who are brilliant in class may need to have a private home tutor. Why? It's simple. Both students requires additional reinforcement but of different levels. Let us put it this way. Those brilliant students have grades to maintain. Thus, they will need to compete with other intelligent students in class.
Therefore, they will need home tutors to help them maximize their learning potentials. On the other hand, average students, and those who are weak in their class will need the help of home tutors to help them with their comprehension.
Apart from the above mentioned advantage of private home tuitions, there are more benefits that private tuition can give for both the students and the parents. Some of which are listed below:
Enhance learning styles
Parents are involved
"Do not confine your children to your own learning for they were born in another time."
The student can relax easily and be more open with their ideas, than when compared with being amongst other students. A student that lacks confidence in their language ability and has a ‘failure’ mentality will thrive under the guidance of an experienced and a qualified teacher.
Nowadays, many school teachers are facing the problem of dealing with a large class size, and they have no other option but to teach on the related curriculum. To our understanding, school systems can certainly work, but only to provide the actual structure and programs with which teachers can carry out their duties so that each and every child can move on.
Regrettably, certainly not all kids can make the progress pertaining to what they are capable of.
The causes for the lack of improvement are usually different. As long as you are seriously concerned with regards to your kid's performance, you will likely want to find out what are the reasons why your kid is not doing well on his studies.
1. Your kid is very smart. However, because of a lack of challenges or other problems that he faces in school, he has ended up disruptive in class.
2. Probably your kid is not as brilliant as many of the other students, and therefore, causes him to have doubt about his ownself. This has brought to a negative mindset and the unwillingness to get involved.
3. Probably your kid is in a class size in which personal attention is impossible. Schooling systems do not consider your kid's desired learning style into the account, and minimal effort is being carried out to encourage the slow students.
4. Your kid may be showing naughty or perhaps problematic conduct in the school. As long as additional time and effort are spent getting to the main factor connected with the problem, these types of problems can be dealt with appropriately.
How can you solve this problem?
First of all, you need to understand what is effective home tuition.
Home tuition is actually not about teaching, it is actually about learning as well as comprehending the actual needs and requirements of every single child, which usually can be completely different.
My private tuition is tailored to individual needs. My home tuition can raise levels of school performance, English tuition can help a child to increase their confidence, enjoyment and motivation in all subjects and develop study skills and discipline that can be applied across a number of subjects. Private tutors are not just for children, adult learning is very popular and home tuition could be just the way to do it!
Making up about 30% of the population, auditory learners absorb information best through the sense of hearing as for visual learners tend to enjoy and learn best through watching. Some of their main characteristics include:
Learning styles are various approaches or ways of learning. They involve educating methods, particular to an individual, that are presumed to allow that individual to learn best. Most people prefer an identifiable method of interacting with, taking in, and processing stimuli or information. Based on this concept, the idea of individualized "learning styles" originated in the 1970s, and acquired "enormous popularity".
